Prince Puma: #7 in the Wrestling Weekday Top 10 Wrestlers of 2015, presented by ESO-PRO

Few names had as varied a 2015 as the first ever Lucha Underground Champion Prince Puma. While he dominated the main event of the Temple from Aztec Warfare until Ultima Lucha, he also spread his wings under his original unmasked identity as Ricochet. In addition to Lucha Underground, he regularly worked in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, EVOLVE, Dreamwave, multiple English promotions, long time Japanese home Dragon Gate and his new Japanese home promotion of New Japan. Not bad for a 27 year old kid from Paducah, Kentucky.

Honestly, the only thing Prince Puma wasn't capable of in his 2015 was cutting a promo under his mask. It certainly wasn't because he's incapable of cutting a promo or doesn't have the ability to connect with a crowd. It is because it is hard to pretend to be a Hispanic kid from Boyle Heights, California when he's a mixed kid from Kentucky. But as Lauren Price put it: “Doesn’t even need to talk to be entertaining.”

But even without talking, he picked up victories on everyone from Marty "The Moth" Martinez to Drago to Hernandez to Johnny Mundo in an epic all night match. He picked up more wins over the likes of Matt Sydal, Joey Ryan and The Addiction outside Lucha Underground. And he always looked good doing it.

I strongly suspect he will continue to do so in 2016 with more big matches in Lucha Underground, New Japan, PWG and beyond.

With far more of his career ahead of him than behind him, perhaps no one else on this list has the potential to wow more fans or more years than the high flying Prince Puma. And he will continue to hit his amazing 630 degree Senton to pick up more wins like no one else in wrestling can do.
