He held no titles in Lucha Underground and in fact never even received a title shot during his first season of the promotion. But it is hard to argue that he comes out of season one as the company's biggest star.

Looking back at Alberto's amazing Lucha Underground run

Alberto Del Rio just returned to WWE, but he had a great run at the beginning of the year as part of Lucha Underground. A feud with Texano started things out well for Alberto El Patron, but it was his battles with Johnny Mundo (the former John Morrison) that really allowed him to shine. They blew the roof off the Temple during Ultima Lucha, but their previous match was equally compelling as they fought a brutal battle that ended in an amazing wrestling moment.
