Tomoaki Honma was now the only man in the tournament without a win as he walked into battle with the standing Intercontinental champion Hirooki Goto. This was two power strikers beating the hell out of one another. But despite his best efforts, Honma still couldn't put Goto away. The IC champion finally moves up to four points in the tournament.

Tomohiro Ishii of CHAOS battled Karl Anderson of Bullet Club in the new semi-main event. This was a battle of two of the three people sitting undefeated. I went into this one expecting Anderson to continue his dominance, but in a bit of surprise "The Stone Pitbull" continues his rise up the card with a big win over Anderson here to remain undefeated and become the first person in the tournament to hit 6 points.
The main event was a battle between two of my personal favorites as the aging Satoshi Kojima went one-on-one with a man who very much lives in his legacy, Kazuchika Okada. Kojima does what Kojima usually does and beat Okada like a dog, but Okada showed his champion level endurance. One Rainmaker was all he needed to pick up the victory in a burtal contest that left both men laying on the mat. Okada joins Ishii in the undefeated column.
The show returns with A Block action tomorrow at 5:30 a.m Eastern. Shibata and Ibushi will have an absolute battle on the under card, but the real highlight should be the main event confrontatoin between two uber-heels of NJPW, AJ Styles and Tetsuya Naito.
B Block is back on Saturday morning with an awful 4 a.m. bell time. But the show should be awesome. Nakamura is supposed to take on his stablemate Ishii if he returns, but even without that match, the card still features Takahashi vs. Kojima, Honma vs. Elgin and a huge main event. The IWGP Intercontinental and Heavyweight champions will do battle as Goto takes on Okada.
